Find Convertible Car Rentals in New York

There was no vehicle when I arrived, even though I had reserved online the day before and received a confirmation number and receipt. The attendant said I should have called ahead of time to give them time to reserve a car, but isn't that what a reservation is for? They said they were all sold out and had no way of getting a car. I was stranded at the location for hours until I could get a ride. Horrible experience. Horrible service. Just all around nothing works and it is bad.

The ease of getting the car even though I had just booked the vehicle when I landed. And the friendly customer service in general but more specifically from Roberta.

We received the truck we wanted. Everything was great.

It was not Alamo but Budget as the booking got changed by tripadvisor. a. The car ( nissan murano) at JFK airport was not clean b. After some time the front collision warning light came up kept coming up intermittently c. It applied automatic breaks in the middle of the highway quite a few times ( Lucky to be remain unhurt) d. Had to stop my trip half way and take shelter at a friend's place late in the evening e. Towing truck came way too late f. Replacement vehicle was also dirty g. Replacement vehicle had serious mechanical issue ( shaking vigorously on the highway) h. In spite of all these, was charged for the extra day ! The overall experience with this Budget rental was worse than pathetic!!

We booked a full size car, we were given a pick up truck and told there no other cars available. The truck was not conducive to what we needed to do, when we walked to the garage to get the truck there were lots of cars of different kinds that were clearly available ( none in our class, but we would have happily taken something then the truck that was assigned to us with no options even though it is was not what we paid for.

Picking up the car was a nightmare. We specifically asked for a Chevy Suburban due to the amount of luggage and people we had. We needed Captains chairs in 2nd row and the larger trunk space. The counter agent refused to give us one, despite me being an Avis member and pointing out the available one on the lot. When we went outside we met Dan who works the lot outside. He was AMAZING! I pointed out that there was a Suburban that was perfect, he checked it and quickly changed our car to that Suburban. When we tried to leave the lot, the agent inside had assigned that car to another COUPLE (just after us) (not the 6 people we had). We couldn't leave, and found Dan who went inside to sort out the issue. The agent was planning to give them the Suburban because they had requested a black car. Our friend Dan reminded the agent the our car was not black but green. He finalised the paperwork again from inside and finally we were able to leave. Without Dan the trip would have been much more difficult due to the layout of the Expedition. What I didn't understand is why a couple would get priority over us simply because they requested a specific colour when we had 6 people and needed a specific type of car. Thexagent at the counter was downright rude, but Dan SAVED THE DAY!!! GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!

Better prices, similar as those offered in other states like Florida.

car was fine, so was the very central location in NYC. unfortunately, the car hadn‘t been cleaned (there were french fries under the seat) and the drop-off location in DC had been closed months earlier, so I had to drive around during rush hour to find one where I could actually drop off the car.

Paid close $60 dollars for extending the drop off at time by an hour - disgustingly scandalous. Never had this problem with Enterprise.

Did not have a car for me. They couldn't honor my reservation.

They trick me and charge me fuel 86€ instead 3-4€, an on checkout they said “you sing that”… catastrophical, never again Budget

Was able to pick up right in Manhattan. Upgraded to a 4 wheel drive when say conditions were bad. Was able to do a one way trip as needed all the way to Memphis. Other rental companies would not allow this. Good price and very friendly service.

Terrible rental experience. Will not be using them again. We booked our car in advance and yet still had to wait an hour before any cars were available. When it finally did arrive it reeked of cigarette smoke and the service light was on. After driving for a few hours the gas tank still read full, as it turns out the gas guage was broken and nobody told us. Best thing I can say is that it got us there (late) and it was cheap, but I would recommend going elsewhere

The vehicle provided to me had a problem with the ABS system that made braking in ice conditions almost impossible and placed me and my family in grave danger whilst travelling in Vermont in winter. I have raised this with them and they indicate that there is nothing that can be done. I regard this as unacceptable and I will never rent from them again.

They did not have a vehicle ready for me.
