very convenient - at check-in, options were clearly explained, and drop-off was quick and easy. Everybody was pleasant and efficient.

The first car they gave us was dirty inside and had paint marker writing on the outside of the windows. As we were driving out of the lot it was making loud clunking noises so we turned around and swapped it for another car. She told us the new car was the same size but it was much bigger (she lied). Then when we were returning in Manhattan there was a street fair happening that blocked all access to the rental place. After 1.5 hours of driving around I took it upon myself to drive the wrong way down a one way street to finally make it to Avis. Not their fault but they could have answered the phone when I called to troubleshoot.

I got dirty car. Especially windows were cleaned with something like hand cream. And smell inside of cigarettes. In Avis as the obe who is maintaining smoke free fleet.

The car was stained from ceiling to floor. The windshield wipers were AWFUL! And there was a malfunctioning sensor where the seatbelt alarm would go off for the backseat even though nothing was in the seat.

Manuel was the greatest rental agent. He was very kind and helpful.

Off airport, had to take an Uber. Service was fine.

we didn't get the car we payed for; Hertz gives whatever car they have at their disposal at the time we arrived at their counter.

Rental was for the wrong location. Called Hertz to get it fixed and they wanted to charge over $500 for a 1 day rental so I wasn’t even able to get a car from them.

When I showed up for my reservation the car was not there. The lobby was filled with other people who had reservations but dollar had no cars. They told us to wait until someone brought a car back for us but they didn’t know how long that would be. Dollar charges no late fees for late returns of their cars. Which in theory is good for the renter of the car, but has a domino effect on other customers. I ended up leaving and not getting a car at all. Will not rent from them ever again

(1) The line at the Dollar check at Logan airport was very long with only one agent at the desk and it was close to closing time at 7:00pm. The agent was very friendly and did the best he could under the circumstances. However, each check in took about 10 minutes to process. The wait time was about an hour. (2) My rental car had terrible visibility and shimmied from any gust of wind. Parking the car was very difficult because the camera and park assist were useless. (3) The only positives were the friendly agents at check in and at drop off.

The Boston Logan Thrifty pick-up process was horrendous. They were understaffed and slow. There was a line of 30+ customers trying to pick up cars that took over an hour to get through. The other rental car lines had no one. Recommend another company.

Great experience! Only bad thing was that we waited at the terminal for the airport car rental shuttle (, but operated by Alamo) for 20-30+ minutes which is very abnormal compared to other airports. Hoping that was a fluke day since it was fast when we returned the car.

The experience itself was great unfortunately the car smelled like smoke.

I reserved luxury but our luggage didn’t fit so we were able to get a Ram Rebel full size truck. It made the vacation much easier and we loved the truck.
