Both Hertz check-out and return (check-in) staff were a tad grumpy / diffident. Facility was cramped, difficult to find / get to, dirty. Check-in (return) process poorly explained. Though the 'Price' was the decider, that this pick-up location was NOT at the airport wasn't well advertised.

This was a complete disaster. I did not end up renting the car, because the pickup location was not at the AIRPORT!! I was supposed to pick up the car at Boston Logan, but after standing in line for an hour, I get to the counter, and the agent informed me that the rental was booked for DOWNTOWN Boston.... why would that have been? Why would I go downtown Boston and not pick up straight from the airport? I asked the agent if they could transfer the reservation and he said he could not, there was nothing he could do and they didn't have any extra cars available. Then I called the downtown office, and they were CLOSED for the day! I had to scramble to find another rental car company that had available cars. I was out the entire cost of the rental since I prepaid, and there is no change or cancellation available. I'm sorry, but this was unforgivable and I will never do car rental business through this website again.

I turned the car in one day early and they refused to give me a credit because I prepaid. I will never prepay on a car rental again.

Car was great b/c luggage fit and it did fine in snow. Drop off was easy.

What I didn’t like. The vehicle was not clean and not completely full of fuel. There was either a transmission or engine misfire issue with this vehicle. The vehicle would bang and jump at low speed from still start. So this vehicle was not properly checked before re-renting.

Rude they weren’t helpful and had an attitude about everything
