Cheap Car Hire in Chinatown, New York from ₹ 418

It was not Alamo but Budget as the booking got changed by tripadvisor. a. The car ( nissan murano) at JFK airport was not clean b. After some time the front collision warning light came up kept coming up intermittently c. It applied automatic breaks in the middle of the highway quite a few times ( Lucky to be remain unhurt) d. Had to stop my trip half way and take shelter at a friend's place late in the evening e. Towing truck came way too late f. Replacement vehicle was also dirty g. Replacement vehicle had serious mechanical issue ( shaking vigorously on the highway) h. In spite of all these, was charged for the extra day ! The overall experience with this Budget rental was worse than pathetic!!

The car rental agency did not honor my reservation and I was unable to rent a car and go on the trip we had planned.

Extremely hard and almost impossible to get a rental without a reservation. Outrageous prices! If I wasn’t desperate to get home I would never have used there service. I can say the women who helped me did was she could and went above and beyond, or at least made me feel that way. It’s hertz corporate that’s the problem. Criminal how they operate.

We arrived at exactly the drop-off time (10pm) and the location staff was already leaving so we were told we had to pay for overnight parking at the structure it's located in. I had to threaten to call Hertz central before the manager accepted my drop off. It was clear this was done on purpose to create a situation in which drivers are forced to pay for parking if arriving a second past the reservation time. Unacceptable business practice.

Wouldn’t recommend Hertz. Pick up experience wasn’t good at all, car I asked for was not ready, despite my late arrival- clerks told me it was my fault as I hadn’t arrived at 9 am (time when I requested my vehicle. Still it took then around 1 hr and a half to bring my car. That’s not the expected service when you book ahead of time and specially since there’s a sign outside office which states reservations are honored starting 30 min before your arrival. The same happened to another family who arrived before us. I was provided a 25 usd costumer satisfaction receipt, which definitely doesn’t make up for the hour and a half spent waiting.

The car works well. Car is clean and washed. Staff not friendly. No enough staff. Had to wait for 10-15 minutes at the empty booth without knowing what's going on. (Turns out the only staff went to garage to get the car ready). Car without front license plate. Not enough explanation on ez-pass need in New York state.

When I got to the car rental they did not let me take the car They did not allow Visa debit cards. They only accept credit cards. When I made the reservation I gave my debit card. Nobody mentioned this at the time of the booking. I finally has to find another solution with Budget who accepted my debit card I want to make sure I was not charged for the car rental , can I please get an update on my email : Richard@verita.ro
