Cheap Car Rentals in University Square, Tampa

Didn't have the car reserved. They dud offer for me to come back or stop in at any office and check about swap during the rental. Car was dirty inside and out. Need more attention in that area.

Watch when you are renting from second and third hand sites. I put in Tampa Airport but some how they offered prices for off airport rental of the same company, in this case Enterprise. When I got to the Enterprise airport they had my reservation in the system but it was for a location 20 min. away. So unless I wanted to get an Uber or Cab I had to pay $170. extra to rent from the airport. So beware before you book it, that you are still under the airport address for pick up.

Insurance costs could be better and cheaper. There are better options out there than what Hertz has to offer. The lady at the desk who helped us was very nice :)

First of all when I ordered my car I asked for a car at the Tampa airport when I got my confirmation it’s a Fowler Road how was I supposed to know that Fowler Road wasn’t where the airport was. Later I Had asked to cancel which would be another $100 or to change it to the airport would be $400 so we went to pick it up on We had to get a ride there.Fowler Road and returned it that same day so the cost would only be the cost that was giving to me very disappointed in this whole system we returned the car the same time we picked it up so we would only have that charge I’ll never go to Hertz again I will tell all my friends and family never to go to Hertz again and it will also be on my twitter. Very disappointed. Wasted close to 3 hours of my holiday. Had to get a ride to pickup and return ride. Never will hertz be on my holiday use list. We are out $109 for a car we never used and gas money for someone to drive us and take us back we used Uber to get back to the airport another $44. Never again

Our Rental Agent Kiara went above and beyond and helped make a horrible experience a little better she was very patient and professional through the entire experience; she is definitely management material (was a lil surprised to hear she wasn't) but she is truly a great asset to HERTZ and came through in our time of need

Even with a reservation had to wait 45 minutes in line, the car had multiple scratches and defects, not very clean

Can’t rent without a credit card even though it says you can. Also when I got to the counter the lady one desk over called me to let me know they were sold out of cars

Fake fuel charges of $120 added to the total! The vehicle was returned with full tank of fuel. They ask for a receipt of gas purchase, instead of checking the gauge in the car! Rip off, scam.

Car was not in great condition but Avis customer service was of Great help resolving the problem
