The person who checked me out told me I had fuel forgiveness but I got charged $70 for bringing it back with 3/4 of a tank and Hertz says they made no notes so it stands and the location is impossible to get a person on the phone to discuss.

There were a number of electrical issues with the car, and they "upgraded" me to a much larger, far less fuel efficient car without giving me any option. The sensor on the blind spot was faulty and dinged off and on across my 22 hour drive, and the audio controls also had issues. The stereo would randomly jump or drop significantly in volume, and the sensor for the trunk was also faulty, frequently saying the trunk was open when it was not, and would come on randomly while driving.

I think overall it was great! Good price good car etc. the girl who helped me when I picked up the car was very nice and helpful. Her name was Sherry I believe. Hispanic girl. Thank you!!

Even thought I called a week, and again a day in advance to confirm reservation, I was told the morning of the rental that if I didn't arrive at the office when it opened, I could not be guaranteed a vehicle. The car that I was given smelled so terribly of disinfectant, we had to purchase bottles of vinegar to dissipate odors. We also had to leave windows open at night and wash all clothes that came in contact with seats and floors.

The website added a pick up location away from where I asked. I was very specific in my search to ask for a specific airport pickup. and when we arrived at the airport site they said they had no reservation, the site where our reservation was closed, they had no cars at all. They offered no help other than yo try the other car rental counters in the airport. Flip side was Thrifty/Dollar who offered many suggestions for dealing with Alamo (try Uber to hotel & Uber back in the morning), and then worked hard to not only find a car my husband could fit in, but reduced the price as best they could to come close to matching the price we got from Alamo.

They did not have any cars available to rent.

The branch manager, Manouchka Castor, was excellent. The car was higher mileage, and a few years old, with only the most basic trim level, but was decently cleaned.

Great Customer Service! The kind lady in Tampa suggested I could move my pick up location to Winter Haven, which is where I was, saving me much money and time. Much appreciate this company!

Great customer service. Kayak’s website mistakenly allowed me to rent a rental car that was not at the airport rental. In lieu of charging me double for the reservation, the agent helped me get a new reservation at only a 50% increase versus a 100% increase from my reservation rate.

Dear national Or third party! I’m waiting for car rental National to refund me the funds they took from my account on two different transactions! On the date I return the car to the same location I picked the car as planned the staff were not what is going! Very disappointed. I want my money! And I’m going to put in a complaint

It wasn’t National’s fault, it was Kayak’s fault. You booked a car at a location that was closed, never sent a confirmation email and then offered no help in rebooking. The supervisor I talked to on the phone was rude and ended up hanging up. Completely disappointed with the way you guys left me stranded. I’ve never been treated like this by a company for something that was their fault. Never using Kayak or any affiliated companies again.
