Cheap Car Rentals in Westlake, Los Angeles

The rental place did not have my car when I showed up to pick it up. They claimed they tried calling me beforehand and claimed they didn't have my phone number even though it was clearly on the reservation. Needless to say, I would never use them again.

Hertz canceled my reservation the day before we needed to pick up the rental because they didn’t have any available cars in the entire LA region...

Hertz cancelled on me the day before an hour they were supposed to close! I called the 800 number and it was impossible to find help. I called several locations in the neighborhood but they were all turning me down or charging an additional $200! Never ever again

Long line at the start. Although we took about 5 mins, many others seemed to take 30+ minutes! So they caused delays. We had a reservation…. Did they?

We were pretty disappointed when LA traffic got us to the Sixt office at 5:10 pm on pick-up day to discover that the office closed at 5:00. A phone call would have been nice. At least it would have saved us the time we spent in downtown traffic finding the office and getting our ride back to pick us up again. We still would have had to pay an Uber to get back there from Pasadena the next morning. The vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica) was clean and comfortable, if not at all what we wanted. Apparently it was the only vehicle available. I still have not gotten charged, which is awkward. Otherwise, I had a good experience. The young man who waited in me was efficient, friendly, and helpful.

Let the people waiting know that if we booked through a third party, there probably isn’t a car waiting for us.
