Cheap Car Hire in Mission Bay, San Diego from ₹ 603

The person working there was very friendly and efficient. They only thing is that upon returning the car she thought she saw a chip in the windshield when I returned it. She couldn’t see the chip in her pictures she had taken. She called someone else who said they could see a chip in previous pictures. I prayed that I wouldn’t be held responsible for that and I wasn’t thank God! I knew I didn’t have anything hit my windshield and I had only driven it a few miles in the 4 days I had it.

It’s not my first time booking with avis, I am always satisfied with them.

I realize that the covid-related car shortage is affecting everyone. Finally found a car to drive from San Diego to Palm Springs, since my flight had been cancelled. Too bad it was almost $200! (My suitcase is still en route to Palm Springs--flight delayed. I left Washington, DC for Palm Springs Wednesday at 9am and was supposed to arrive at 2pm Wednesday. Oh well...)

The car rental desks are NOT “at the airport”. Usually that term implies that the rental desks are in the arrival terminal. At San Diego airport, you have to take a 15 minute shuttle ride. While the car rental center is technically “at the airport” because it sits on airport property, I felt deceived by the description.

The car wasn’t available. They canceled the reservation and we couldn’t rent a car.

They cancelled my reservation last minute. Claimed they called my phone the day before which is not true. I showed up morning of and was told there were no more cars. Didn’t offer any help on alternatives.

sucks. I booked a car from 2pm and I got to the shop at 2:00. However, the shop was closed and I couldn’t rent the car. And they didn’t accept my refund. It was one of my worst experiences in my life.
