Cheap Car Rentals in Carmel Valley, San Diego

Car was at different Hertz location and staff was not very good.

We were never told, nor saw that Hertz closed at 5pm. Our flight did not arrive until 4:45, and the Hertz location was still 20 minutes away (which we were also NOT notified about until someone called). So, I had to find another rental that was available. Thanks to AVIS, we were able to find the car we needed without issue.

This was THE WORST car rental experience that I have ever had! I tried renting a car at a place near me and I received a response indicating that my car would be ready. Shortly thereafter I received a text that the car I had reserved was NOT available - in fact, there were no cars available. So, I tried another place and the result was exactly the same - no cars available! But, there is no indication that no cars are available BEFORE making the reservation!!! I will NEVER use this website again, EVER!!!

Terrible experience. Never got the car, rental location was closed and airport location wouldn’t assist, told me that’s what I get for going through a third party. Extremely rude. Non refundable fee, so out the money, everyone with our travel group was appalled. Rebooked with Avis through Costco.

The whole Enterprise experience was really great and much better than most other rental car agencies. The SD staff was really accomodating with a short notice on the rental due to flight issues and drop off at LAX location was so easy and incredibly accomodating.

Rental agency was inside hotel lobby, very easy to get to and to deal with. No crowd or hassle involved. Staff was super nice and even gave us a choice on car.

My experience totally sucked! I booked a car online through kayak. I specified that I was picking the car up at the San Diego airport. As it turns out when I went to actually get the car at the San Diego airport the very well-mannered clerk informed me that the car was actually closer to del Mar in San Diego county which is a $50 taxi ride away. Talk about bait and switch. .. I managed to get another rental at San Diego airport but I will never get snookered again

Get more cars at the airport to avoid the extra transport to satellite locations
