Cheap Car Rentals in Nokomis, Minneapolis

Everything about the rental experience was awesome. Everyone was professional, kind, and efficient. This is the first time I've rented with Sixt and I definitely will again.

Easy pick up and drop off

We were originally told it would take 2 hours to get our truck; totally understandable since it was a holiday weekend. We waited 5 hours to then be told they didn’t have any trucks. Luckily we were given an SUV instead but the fact that they rented us a car they didn’t have was very frustrating and the waiting with no communication was awful.

When we arrived at the Hertz counter we were told that it would be a 1-2 hour wait before a car was ready. We were also told that they could only phone us when the car was ready if we were in the terminal. The counter agent was worthless. We cancelled our Hertz rental and went to another car rental agency.

The experience was quick and professional.

The lady at the desk was brutal. I wanted to change my booking from three days to one day. She said she couldn’t do it. On top of that she insisted on charging me for three days insurance. There was no effort to work with me.

Pick up was chaotic with several cars untenable due to smoke smell. No one to help with pickup which resulted in having to take a larger size car and being told on exit that it would be more expensive. Car we choose was also only 1/2 full w gas. Drop off was totally different. The desk staff was very helpful and made sure we were not up-charged or charged for gas we didn’t use. Good customer service.

Waited in line 90 minutes, then was told after getting checked in it was another hour wait for my vehicle. Finally got called to go to pick up my vehicle and got to a 2nd counter in the rental ramp, only to be told there is no vehicle, and that they were all reserved....confused because I also reserved a vehicle, I asked why did I have to wait an hour just to be told there was no vehicle, their response was "we were hoping a return would have been made in that time, try renting from avis". So went up a floor, stood in line another hour, and while I was in line I reserved, paid for and checked in for a car, and once reaching the front of the line, was confirmed and sent on my way. The fastest part of dollar was getting my rental voided. Avis was much better than dollar.

I was charged for the insurance even though I said no.

We reserved and paid for a 7 passenger SUV. They gave us a 5 passenger car. It took three times of us going up to the car on the airport parking garage and back to the counter inside to get it right and then they forgot to give us the correct ticket to scan to leave the airport. It took over an hour to get the act picked up and leave the airport because of this.

Staff was really friendly. Easy and quick pick up and drop off.

Transperancy in transactions, not oversale.

Staff were friendly, very helpful, and informative! I appreciated the ease with which I was able to return the rental and get on a shuttle to the airport.
