The Avis location that DID have a car was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

The Avis location where I was supposed to pick up my car claimed to have tried to call me to say no car was available but there was no record on my phone to back it up. I had to go to another location to get a car and the original price was no longer valid. I paid 33% more than expected.

Finally a guaranteed reservation! Either I've had a string of bad luck but whenever I rent a minivan I never get what I ask for even when I make a reservation in a month's advance. This time I received my choice and with no delays. Check in and out service was painless and professional.

Too good to be true when I received the bill. I was quoted and guaranteed a rate of $75 but when I returned the vehicle I noticed I was charged $91. Some bogus maintenance fee I was hit with which I eventually got reimbursed on but my experience would've been exceptional until I received the bill. Overall I was still satisfied.

I decided to book through Kayak because you quoted a better rate than National. My plane was delayed by 2.5 hours and when I got to the airport, the kayak rate was more than triple what was on the reservation and I was told"Kayak does that some times if you are late!" I had booked a back up reservation with National and that one was not jacked up, so I went with that. Waste of time

No car available when i arrived for pick up and they did not inform me in advance

The rservation couldn’t be completed because the return time (4pm) was not available at that location (12 noon the latest). When they checked to drop Off at other locations it was double the amount or 140 dollars more. They didn’t even try to say we will keep the same price. End up going to enterprise around the corner. I hope Allianz inssurance I got through kayak returns the money I paid .

Hertz itself was OK, actually. Hertz was not the problem but Kayak was.

Kayak sent me to a location that was closed for Memorial Day. As a result I wasted time and $50 riding Uber from there to the airport.

If you are going to mandate a mask policy you should provide mask for those who either don't have one or left theirs at home. Having to go find a mask somewhere in order to enter your establishment is very inconvenient!

The Chevy Equinox was an easy SUV to drive. Seat with lumbar adjustment was a dream. Navigation screen was a nice size and easy to use. Sales folks were friendly and helpful.

Car could have been cleaner, inside and out. Car had dings and scrapes and a scraping issue when the trunk closed. There was no assistance or guide on how to use features. I had stopped by the day before to make sure I knew where the location was and to make sure the reservation was complete. When I came the next day they said I needed proof of comprehensive ins coverage, not a ins card. Because of time constraints I ended up having to purchase their ins which almost double the cost of the rental; a first in my rental history.

The staff accused me of incurring damages on the car when I dropped it off. The damages were existing slight scratches that I didn't even notice when I picked the car. They reported it as an accident to my insurance and forced me to file a claim against them. Besides the extra stress of potentially running late to my flight after 30 min of arguing with them, I had to deal with follow up and an "accident" on my record. I will never rent from them again.

If they are going to hold me accountable for minor scratches, they should provide a small card at check in that allows me to record existing damages or otherwise sign off that there was no existing scratches.

I was directed to take a taxi (45 minutes) to an off-site location at my expense, due to a Kayak reservation error, per Enterprise. No vehicles were available at IAH airport as reserved and Enterprise stated that it was a ongoing third party (Kayak) reservation issue. Rented from Alamo (on-site) with no additional unforeseen issues!
