Cheap Car Rentals in Castleberry Hill, Atlanta

No car; nobody at the counter. Total tragedy if an experience.

The car and drop off experience were both good, no complaints. Pick up was not::: 1) I was redirected from the payless counter, (a payless contract), to the avis counter 2) The first avis clerk redirected to a different avis clerk who knew how to handle a payless transaction 3) steps 1 and 2 caused a significant delay 4) price of the printed contract was higher than the amount of the online order 5) the clerk changed the contract to the online order amount 6) my credit card was billed for the higher amount, (more than the order or contract).

Picking up was a mess, there was no one at the counter, and we had to wait in an long Avis line for people who did not prepay or register.

I did not get my rental. They refused my credit card as it was from an online bank, chine, rather than from an institution.

I cancelled my reservation several days before my trip and they still tried to charge my card. There was a $50 fee and they tried to charge me full price.

First my booking was changed to downtown Atlanta from airport. At midnight, the attendant informed me i needed to head downtown for pickup, at my expense. I did so, and found that location closed. I returned to the airport location where I was treated to a new reservation, at a higher rate!! It’s bizarre that the agents on duty feel empowered to make sensible decisions yet failed so woefully.

I was charged and didn’t use the car

Was not able to pick up the car because of a policy (they won’t rent to locals) that was not listed anywhere during or after booking. I checked and re-checked all terms and conditions and can not find it. They won’t answer the phone to confirm with rentalcars.com that I never received the rental, so I haven’t even been given a refund yet. Not only do I deserve a refund for the car, but I also deserve a refund for the Ubers to and from the pickup location and for wasting so much of my time. Absolutely awful.

The price was great. The costumer's care was absolutely perfect.

My scheduled pick up time was 3pm, they texted 45m prior to that time stating that they closed at 3pm. I explained that it was impossible to be there before 3pm.. They made no accommodations to stay or help find another location that would be open past 3pm. Horrible service I would not suggest using this location.

they waited until 30 minutes before my reservation to tell me they are all sold out of cars. for two days out of my trip we were doing ubers and had to go with another company.

Canceled because could coordinate an extention of the rental time on front end

I reserved a pickup truck from the Atlanta centre over a month before the collection date. They had no vehicles except from Small SVU/Sedans. As I was on a road trip, I required a car that day. They said I had to take one of those cars at the same much higher rate that I booked the pickup for. Then contact customer services. As I'm not from the USA, my phone rates would of made it extremely expensive and customer service wouldn't initially help via email. I've been back and forward with customer services for nearly 3 weeks as I needed to wait till the end of my reservation period before they could intervene. Overall a very poor experience. I will not be using AVIS in a rush, nor will recommend them to work / friends. Regards, Calum Mackinder

Pickup was very slow, despite there being very few customers there. One agent in particular was at his post behind the counter talking with what seemed to be friends the whole time I was there, which was about 20 minutes. At drop-off, I was 1.5 hours late and was charged $120 for a full day of rent, which is unreasonable. I spoke with an agent there and was able to get $60 back, though they pushed back on me a lot about it at first. The car itself was fine, though it said it needed maintenance shortly after I picked it up. Thankfully, I didn't have any problems with it.

Given false information between online and in person,guy at the desk not helpful or knowledgeable of information. Poor attitude from on of the guys at the desk.
