Pick up took an unnecessarily long time. There were three employees working the desk and nobody was moving quickly to get through the long line of customers. One was joking around with another customer and then took about 5 minutes in a back room looking for a pen. Once we finally completed paperwork, there was no vehicle in the parking spot we were assigned. I went to a kiosk labeled “customer service” and after waiting in line was told that I should have gone to another stand as this particular one was for drop offs. There was no mention of this on any signage. I insisted that they help me as I had been waiting for some time in line already and he reluctantly agreed to help. He said he was supposed to be on a lunch break but nobody was coming to relieve him. We were assigned a new car and it was in the spot we were instructed to go to. The car had clearly not been cleaned after the prior customer. There was food spilled in the front cup holders, wrappers stashed throughout the car and we found some of the previous customers belongings in the console. The car itself was good, worked great and was the type of vehicle I had reserved. The pick up experience was terrible and I don’t intend to rent from this particular budget branch in the future.
