It is a sad state of affairs that I EXPECT that going to the RDU Avis location means that I will have to endure people who are angry, disinterested in making my day better or at least how well, and people who BRAG about being mean to customers because they can get away with it. On several occasions, the tone has been one of apathy, anger, job hatred, people hatred, and overall angst and woe, and I’m SICK and TIRED of no one forcing the people who are hired that location to suck it up and be kind or find another source of income. They argue, yell at, or demean and belittle customers REGULARLY, and this is the THIRD time in a row that the most extreme curse words have been used by either a customer or an agent there because of an argument. That’s insane, but they are never friendly. THE ONLY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS PEOPLE ARE THE SHUTTLE DRIVERS, and that’s sad. They are the saving Grace for this location, but they deserve better continuity of kindness once their role is done. Just yesterday when I dropped off the vehicle, the cold agent who approached me said very aggressively, “LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE CAR” I asked, “Do you have to start with that and not a ‘Good Morning’ or a ‘Hello’?” He replied “I’m not the kind of person to be saying no hello” I have asked these people where they think the money comes from in a CUSTOMER SERVICE business. They actually said, “Oh they’ll find a way to pay us either way”. Does it need to made any more obvious that the RDU Avis location’s workers need retraining or need to be replaced with people who actually don’t hate the job? I’m fed up and wish that there were more convenient options that fit my company discount. The Crabtree location is too inconvenient to drop off when my trip is over, and catching a ride in a ride share to and from defeats the purpose.
