Car was dirty and wreaked up marijuana. Good shook like it was going to blow off. No other cars available when I attempted to return it. Told I have to drive 40 mins to the next Enterprise. Received a whopping $30 discount

The counter has one employee so each contract takes 10 minutes. We stood in line for over an hour. The employee was efficient, but should have had help. There were 4 cars to choose from and we took a semi cleaned one because it's a car I'm considering purchasing in the future and want to see how it drives. The car is mechanically questionable and Hertz needs to stay on top of their fleet servicing. It caused unnecessary anxiety on the trip and even thought I should turn it in early. The car and the long wait left me never wanting to rent from Hertz again. The really bright spot is the airport shuttle driver, he is personable, engaging, kind, high spirits and enjoyed that part of the experience.

The car was old, burned a lot of gas. Drove 10 miles and droped a quarter of the gas tank. I’m pretty sure it had some engine problem. Very expensive for a mediocre car. Never doing business with hertz again.

Booked my rental through Kayak and clearly labeled that I wanted pick up to be at the airport. Through the point of booking, it even asked for my flight information so I though I was good. When I got to the Hertz at the airport though, they said my car was at a different Hertz on the other side of town. So I had to Uber to that Hertz to get my car. Then had to drop off the car at that Hertz and Uber to the airport.

I got to the pickup location only to be greeted by an extremely rude employee. I was rudely told we don’t have a car for you even if you have a reservation. Very poor experience to say the very least.

Very hard to find location, and the first employee was incredibly unhelpful. Told us they only had mini vans when we could visibility see jeep car keys on the hook. When asked they finally gave us the jeep we booked. Took over an hour to get our car.

Horrible experience at this location. I realize that this is not representative of Budget as a whole but this location was terrible. I would never go there again and I would highly recommend that everyone else stay away as well.
Rude staff at Raleigh airport AVIS/ Busget. Gave me a crappy car even though I insisted I have a toddler and plan to drive over 12 hours to Canada. USD $315 was charged but they didn’t even bother checking my air pressure.

I booked a 12-passenger van, confirmed the reservation the day before, and then showed up and they did not have any available and only had smaller vehicles. Absolutely awful experience that did not meet our needs. Exceptionally frustrating considering the extra effort I went through to confirm everything was ready the day before. Will not use again.

After I agreed to insurance, the car rental company immediately call me to that the car is actually unavailable. Now I never use KAYAK because there are some double exist that the list of cars available is not updated frequently.

I like how Avis stretched the definition of a "midsize" booking to include a Nissan Sentra. That's very creative.
Leave lots of extra time to drop a car at the Wilmington (NC) airport. You have to find a parking space, unload your belongings, walk into the airport, and wait at the rental counter. And all of that counts against your return time. If that makes you "late" to return your car, it's an extra $30-50.
Car was filthy. Didn't have time to request a different car so I eventually vacuumed car out myself. Outside was dirty as if it had been driven in a little bit of snow. Called avis 800 # to complained and only offered $20 off future rental.
