The clerk at pick-up called and arranged a car at a different location, but only after I insisted.
When I arrived at the airport at 1:30pm (driven by a friend), a nice, but very frustrated gentleman informed me that there were no cars available at this location, even though I had reservation for 2pm. I thought it was because I was early, but he told me there were 2 people in line in front of me and 1, also with a reservation, had been waiting since 12:00pm. The clerk called other locations and found out it would be 245-300pm before a car would be available, "possibly." He called the main location and I was driven by my friend to the other location in town to pick up my car. Apparently they were changing the oil in multiple cars and had no one to drive them to the appropriate locations. The car was cleaned but seats were stained. The windshield was dirty and there was no windshield washer fluid in the tank. So after driving through fog, I had to stop to clean the windshield because I couldn't see well. Rental 1-way was double the price of returning to the same location.
