Cheap Car Rentals in Parkway, Sacramento

I couldn’t pick up my car because the location closed at noon and our flight arrived at 5pm. This was Saturday and the location didn’t reopen until Monday. Non-refundable and non-changeable. I will only book directly with the rental company. I will not use kayak. Cost me $1400 for a car I didn’t get to use!

Picking up was great - Beverly from Elk Grove was sweet and professional. Dropping off in Las Vegas yesterday (Fri, 5/19/23) has been a total disaster. I am still waiting for my receipt and $200 credit in return (got charged $509 for a $309 rental). Stood in line for an hour with just one person working. I asked for a receipt and the Filipina lady with glasses told me that she couldn’t close me out because there’s a long line and she has to go herself to check on the car. I showed her my date-stamped pics of the gas tank (which was full) and mileage along with the parking spot and told her that I got Loss Damage Waiver. She kept telling me to just leave and not to worry, and that she will email me the receipt later when the line is clear. She also assured me it was fine that I was dropping it off at Wynn even though the contract indicated Encore (sister hotel), which gives you the Wynn Hertz address when you Google it. I called this morning and this guy is now claiming that I didn’t return the car with a full tank of gas, which I did and took pictures of it at the Hertz parking spot (you can also check with the garage to see what time the car got in, which would coincide with the time of my pictures - right before 1 pm). He says the car is already on the road and he cannot check for the details of my rental. He refuses to give me a receipt and tells me that he has to wait for the same lady to come into the office to ask her about everything. This is completely absurd. The experience has been awful. I want my $200 credit back ASAP.

I prepaid $800 for a month of rental. The billing went through my Visa card on Feb 3rd. I picked up the car at 1100 on Feb 6th and as I was able to pick up a new car (to my great surprise) from the Honda dealer that day. I returned the car a 4:00 Feb 6th only having driven it 1 mile to the dealer and back. Ana got in touch with Hertz and changed the rental from 1 month to one day costing $44.04. I never got the refund money as a check or on my credit card. I returned to Ana in Elk Grove and she said to call this number. I did but they were so sorry and could not refund the money. They said to call Ana back. Very frustrating and now out the $800.

Upon check in, no vehicles were available. Had to take a truck that had just pulled in as a return. The truck had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes and marijuana which personnel said they would clean so had to wait an extra hour for the vehicle. Not sure what type of "cleaning" was conducted to take the smell out but whatever it was, did not work. Probably had contact high each time I got in the vehicle and clothes were penetrated with the awful stench. Sprayed 4 bottles of Lysol and Febreeze which didn't work.
