never got the car. 5 hour wait

Car was ready, the center was open late and everyone was friendly and professional. Thank you Hertz!

Key fob battery died and there was no way to lock the doors. Hertz drop at LAX was a bit chaotic. Hertz pickup at SMF was very good.

We had to wait 45 minutes for our car. Nobody apologized, nobody acted like this was anything abnormal.

The wait to get the car was one hour. I will never rent from Dollar or Thrifty.

Requested an all wheel drive for winter journey from Sacramento to Tahoe. Was given a Mitsubishi Outlander that when it snowed and I went to initiate all wheel drive discover it was in fact a two wheel drive vehicle. I had to purchase $157 chains for very dangerous return to Sacramento. Terrible experience.

Reasonable rate, nice upgrade available, ez in-n-out both ends of transaction and no horror story to tell!

Check engine light was on the whole time. Windshield wipers were in bad condition. Key battery became low.

The car seats were stained and there was some weird bag stuck in the grill of car. It also was not the car I reserved and was essentially told oh well

I was given a new car with only about 3,000 miles on it. Pick up staff and drop off staff were polite, friendly and effecient. It was clean inside and out. It had a small pit in the front window when I received the car but that was not noted by the staff but was not charged Down side was receiving the car wirh just over 3/4 tank of gas. They have noone to show or discuss this with upon leving the lot so I took a photo with the milage and tank level. When I returned the car I point this out. I returned the car with the same amount of fuel that it had when I checked it out and was told that I would be charged because that was automatic but I should watch for a refund in a few weeks. Why not address and rectify the situation then and there rather than take my money, hold my money and payme back later for something I never received?

The car smelled awful - clearly used long term by a smoker. The key fob was smashed so hard that the "lock" button didn't work and I had to lock from the car door on my way out. I was the last customer before closing so I wasn't able to tell the counter. Service at both drop-off and pick-up locations was good.

The tires wore out and the car had to be turned in early.

The company overcommitted the availability of their fleet. The wait for the car was over an hour and several people had been waiting over two hours. The staff was doing their best but their customer communication of the problem was awful saying anything to keep the customers waiting. Never again!

Not enough staff at counter. Not enough cars to select from upon pickup.

Pick up was a disaster, but it was the day after Xmas and lots of flights were being canceled.

System error charged me double the amount I was supposed to be charged. Customer service couldn't help.

The salespeople at pickup are super pushy. I prefer Hertz and will probably stick with them moving forward.
