I reserved my car 10 days in advanced on kayak and budget didn't even have 1 single car. So I had to go to enterprise and pay 100.00 more then what my reservation was suppose to be through kayak. I WILL NEVER USE KAYAK OR BUGET AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND EITHER ONE OF THEM!

Arrived to west palm beach only to be told that no cars were available. I had a confirmed reservation. The gentleman on the phone informed that that he had “30 reservations and no cars. Sorry.” Terrible customer service, no alternates or compensation provided. Never received a vehicle. Horrible, horrible company. I wish zero stars was an option.

We hadn't ordered a vehicle from Budget for a long time, since our last rental experience with them was not good, so we decided , since their price looked good, we would give them another shot... BIG MISTAKE!! We ordered a large Ford E series van.in the West Palm Beach area. On the morning of the rental, we got a call saying they didn't have it. We were told that the airport location did have one, so we could just pick one up there, and the price would be matched. However, when we arrived the customer service rep told us he had to get one over from Avis... while we waited I wanted to confirm the price match.

The manager ( a black female) of the Palm Beach airport location was absolutely rude, accused my husband of threatening her job? This was because we wanted her to honor the price we had been given by the other Budget location that did not have the vehicle available. She said she was going to put us on the "DO NOT RENT TO" list??? She was totally inflexible and unable to compromise to keep our business. Well, after our horrible experience with Budget, don't worry... Budget is on OUR " DO NOT RENT FROM" list! We went over to Enterprise, which was right next to Budget... we were greeted warmly by a beautiful young lady who had excellent customer service skills. We went out to their car lot and got to CHOOSE the vehicle we wanted! Wow! Such a difference when we are treated with respect and fairly! Budget lost our business; their manager's comments were unacceptable; we will not be back. We will give all out leisure and corporate business to Enterprise in the future.

I expected to be driving a Ford Focus but they had none and gave me a Subaru Forester instead. It was well mainted and comfortable.

I had reserved for 6 weeks, but the agent said she could only book thru month end and call back to extend. Tried 4 times to reach original retal agency but they never answered and was transferred twice to "800" number who said they could not help but that I needed to keep trying Ocala agency or drive to that location which was 3 hours away. Crazy!

They did not have the type car I rented. Only had 2 cars available. The one we got was 3 or 4 levels below what we reserved and paid for. The car was dirty, banged up and the service light was on saying it was 2000+ miles past service time! The USB port was broken so we could not use our gps on the phone without using up our battery with no way to re-charge. All in all the worst rental car experience we have ever had.

I switched to Avis, but what i had to return the vehicle after few weeks of my rental, and even though i paid for the whole month, yet i did not get any refund for the 12 days left. not sure if this is a policy at Avis but definitely this will be a question i have to ask any whether or not i will get my money back and if not, then i have to move on to another.

I reserved and prepaid for an SUV exactly a week prior to pickup in West Palm Beach. Upon arrival I was told they had no SUVs. I asked for a family van and was told they had none. I asked how long I needed to wait. I was told that it was not until the following day that they "may" get one in. I ended up Ubering to another rental car company. Had to pay nearly double the rate Avis charged me for their phantom vehicle because I had no advance reservation

I flew into West Palm but was directed to an Avis location in downtown which I had to reach by taxi- very inconvenient. I had a reservation for a full sized car - none were available so I was provided a smaller car with no discount. The reservation was set up for Noon to Noon. I asked to adjust it to 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM because I arrived early. They refused and charged me $40 for the extra hour. So I paid more and got less. Really disappointing.

This was a disaster, quite frankly. I thought I was getting a rental at the airport, so I took the shuttle to the Enterprise location there. I found that I was supposed to get the car from a location about 10 miles from there. Fortunately, a friend was able to give me a ride there. It probably would have been a $40 cab ride. When we got there, I found they were closed for the day. There was still a person there who told me they could not help me. So I had to cancel the reservation. Rather than go to that location, I made a new reservation on Hotwire with a different company at a location near the airport. I recognize that this was partly my fault for not checking the original pick-up location.

If there was a way to make it obvious that you are not reserving at the airport location, it would help. I know car rental agencies have cut hours and cars due to the pandemic. Maybe they need to automate more of the process so cars can be picked up after hours. Like those car-sharing companies.

I was overcharged when received bill and enterprise said it was not processed properly at drop off location in west palm beach. They sent message to west palm location but still not resolved.
