Horrible, painful, and the worst ever-especially as CarRental.com online reservation was a "Bait-&-Switch." A 5-day ahead reservation was NOT honored, neither was the insurance that was sold as part of the package. NO vehicle was ready at promised time, and we had to endure a 3+ hour "wait" for that Hertz rental place to find "something." The insurance acceptable there was a hefty $30.00+/daily. At NO time in the 5-day period were we contacted to inform us that there'd be NO vehicles of our selection ready, or that the online special would be "selectively" applied. This turned a much desired garden outing into a costly, and painful, ordeal. I've spinal stenosis, all joints are torn, and am recovering from breast Ca, radiation. In my opinion, specifically as to what has been experienced, this type of action towards customers is deeply damaging to any company's brand, and reputation. Would YOU recommend such a company (Hertz), or the company that did the reservation and insurance (CarRental)? I know I, or my friends, wouldn't, and won't. What could've been better? The whole process! The contract could've been honored. If there were possible difficulties in fulfilling that contract, then a call at any point in time in the 5-days AHEAD of rental pick-up would've resolved then.
