Worst experience I've ever had with a national company. First, the scheduled pickup time was the same as their closing time, but no mention of counter hours in any correspondence. Was it supposed to be "Pick up your car in 3...2...1... sorry, we're closed." Second, the car had a steering/suspension/tire issue and felt unsafe. When I called, they expected us to drive >100 miles each way if we wanted to exchange. We took our chances and got lucky. Third, we paid for SiriusXM. The counter clerk (who couldn't find his head with both hands) couldn't figure out how to activate it, and said that he didn't think that car has it. "SiriusXM" is the largest printing on the stereo and clearly visible from outside the car. At least I THINK we paid for it because... Fourth, when I tried to download the itemized invoice, I kept getting an error message that the page is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Three different browsers, (none of which was IE) had the same error. I guess it's only compatible with Netscape Navigator or Blackberry? There was a charge for "Taxable Products/Services*:" that was about ¼ the cost of the rental. I'm guessing that's the SiriusXM service that we never got, but who knows. When we arrived at the counter the day after the scheduled pickup day, the clerk said that there were no cars available. What happened to the one that we had reserved? He said that each day is a new day, and it's like food at a restaurant. So I guess that means that the wait staff brings them home for their families or something. The car he eventually found probably hadn't been completely checked in or someone would have noticed the issues. Again, worst experience with any national company.
