Pick-up at SYR took almost an hour because desk was understaffed. 2 people serving 40-50 Budget AND Avis customers in line. And line was just as bad when we left. The price ended up at $160 a day excluding prepaid gas for a Camry -- really poor value. And more than what was advertised in booking. The staff at SYR were good. And drop off was easy.

I waited in line for an hour. There was one person working the desk. There were still 14 people ahead off me. I did not have another hour to spare, as my meeting was fast approaching. I called Budget to cancel because I COULD NOT GET IT. They promised a refund. Iv'e called several times. I never got a car and never received the EIGHT HUNDRED dollar refund. STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET

I reserved weeks ahead of time, but when I got there, thu said that they didn't have a car. They explained that they book many more reservations than they actually have cars for. They didn't seem to care about that policy negatively affecting travelers. I waited for two hours, and was eventually able to get a car. Th clerk wasn't apologetic in the slightest.

Dollar refused to rent me the car because I had a debit card. They had a policy document they showed me that clearly stated they would accept a debit card if the card carried a Visa or MC logo (it does), and I could provide proof of a return flight (I showed them my ticket). They still refused saying that is not what their policy means. I missed my return flight and had to purchase a hotel stay and new airline ticket because of Dollar employees at Syracuse

Dollar had over rented their cars, so we had to wait 1/2 hour despite having a reservation. Once we were given a car, it severely smelled of cigarette smoke. We went into trade the car, and the woman working the front desk was very gracious and accommodating. Without her, this would be a 1 star review. She turned it around for us by providing us with a small upgrade and prompt service. She is worth five stars to dollar; whomever was checking cars prior to them being rented needs to do a more thorough job.

Hello there, I made a reservation and was not able to take a care upon arrival into Syracuse. I didn’t have a physical credit card in hand and therefore they wouldn’t lend me the vehicle. I have tried calling to dispute the charges that were made on my credit card for $22 for insurance for the car I never was able to take. If someone could call me to resolve these charges for a service I never received it would be greatly appreciated. (315)-725-8292 is my cell phone. Best, Frank

When I reserved online it said I could add drivers for free. When I picked up the car I did not have the other drivers w me and was told no problem and to come back before we left later that afternoon. I picked up from Donna and she was great, tried to give me a car I didn't reserve even though they had the one I requested but ultimately got the car I wanted. Later that afternoon when I came to add the additional drivers I was told it would be $3 a day for each of them. I told the girl one of the drivers only needed to be on for the 1st 2 days. She was overly rude, rolling her eyes with an attitude towards us. She told me it didn't matter and walked away. Went and got another employee to help w one of the other drivers cards. When I turned in the car not only was I charged for them both but the entire time when one of them only drove for that day that we got the vehicle and the night.

Good car Good gas mileage

Drop off was terrible. Persons in garage were pushy and grabbed my keys and locked the car as soon as I arrived. Asked them THREE TIMES NOT TO LOCK THE Car UNTIL I GOT MY TGHINGS OUT!!! But they did anyway and said they did not. They had the keys so it was not me who locked it. Seemed like they just wanted to grab the car and not give me time to exit Just a bums rush!!

The price was much more affordable than Hertz's car rental for a driver under 21 years of age, although a little excessive.

The car was parked very close to a car on the left, which made it very difficult for me to get into the car initially. The car was not clean when I first entered it. The steering wheel was oily and there were crumbs from food on the floor and under the emergency brake. The windshield wipers had some sort of sticky residue under the rubber, not allowing me to properly wipe my windshields. Visibility was low during my road trip, making driving somewhat dangerous.

Pick-up in Syracuse was long. I had the advantage of the line getting shorter when a customer left to get a car elsewhere No one was available to check car in at Rochester. Waited over 10 minutes. Ended up leaving keys on counter

After I got re-routed to a different airport, my 24-year-old son had to pick up our car instead. I was worried because I thought you had to be 25 to rent. There was a small fee associated with it, but he was able to pick up our car with no problems, last minute. Thank you!

Comfortable little car with some nice acessories. I would rent that size again.

Did not like the color. Black showed a lot of dirt. Do not like the gas feature of when the car is idling and turns off car to conserve gas.

Our flight was delayed by over an hour and by the time we landed the rental counter was closed. I was unable to contact them due to the fact that I followed the rules by turning my cell phone off once the cabin door was closed. I feel that hertz should ensure all flights are in prior to closing. I call customer service and told it was completely my fault and I was left stranded over 60 miles from final destination. I was only told to get a hotel room and wait til morning. This would all have cost me more money that I was not willing to spend. I will never rent from hertz again even as a last resort.
