Avis uses local vendors in South Korea. In this case, it was company SK (or KS). I asked for full insurance, including covering DCW. Since it has been a damage, I was asked to pay 300,00 kwa. It didn’t help, that I told them that I have full covering insurance, I had to pay them , and was told, to fix the issue with Avis. So, I don’t think, that I will use Avis any more.

So the staff and the car were fine, but beware. Any little scuff or mark they will charge you for. I understand if it’s a big dent or scratch, but even for the not so serious stuff. Taking out insurance is probably a good idea because they are very picky :)

Staff was friendly but not great at speaking english. They could not answer simple questions.
Would be great if there was some sort of information in the ordering prosess about needing a internatinal drivers license to rent a car in South Korea. Sucks to show up at the desk and not be able to rent a car after all.
