i arranged to pick up a car at 1:00 Due to traffic i arrived 5 minutes late and the counter was EMPTY!! No one in sight! tried everything!! Called, asked two employees< waited.I did NOT get a car.. I was really upset as it was my daughters 40th birthday weekend and I needed to get to Cleveland ASAP and take supplies . If the counter closes at 1:00 why would a pick up be scheduled be at that time ? VERY UPSET!! i had to scramble to find another car somewhere. AWFUL!!!

Car had bald tires and they kept putting me on hold for 15 min so they wouldn’t have to deal with the issue. Ultimately, they replaced the car and the rest of my experience was great!

I’m arrived at the counter to pick up my rental car at 12:15 and no one was there. I called and spoke to a woman the Tuesday prior and she said it would be no problem to pick up my vehicle at 12. If the counter was closing at 12, then they should’ve said that I needed to pick it up sooner. I was there at 12:15 and there is no one was at the counter, and it made for a very stressful situation. I was able to find the regional manager's number and he was very kind and apologetic, and ensured that my car would be available the next morning at 8 a.m. However, overall it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Car was adequate. Quoted price was reasonable for a one way rental.

Rented one way for 24 hours at a quoted price. Turned the car in earlier after 10 hours and they attempted to charge me double. Attendant at the receiving end said "read the contract" which nowhere in the paperwork I was given did it explain that I would be charged double if I turned in earlier. Attendant was extremely rude. I will never rent from Avil or their affiliated company, Budget in the future.
