Cheap Car Rentals in West End, Saint Thomas Island

Charged me additional fees said they have no idea what the third party charged me

Staff was friendly enough but not helpful. When we arrived there were people waiting for vehicles. Some were waiting 1/2 an hour or so. The check-in process was slow. Once assigned a car, you walk a while, self document damage and go. Our vehicle was badly damaged on all four bumpers. As we would drive and hear things rattling, we were sure a bumper would fall off. It didn't, but it wasn't at all good. The return process is not clear. There's no help. Limited signage. And this is a rental place inside the airport; typically a seamless process. The cost was a very poor value at about $150/ day for a Hyundai Elantra. Do not recommend.

Five minute wait at Budget counter ok. Only Budget and Hertz have on site at Cyril King in St Thomas. Quick return. Just parked in budget stall and dropped off keys. JHD

Our pickup was a disaster. We had a 1pm pickup and didn’t get our car until after 5. We checked in and were told they would call when the car is ready and someone would bring it around curbside. We waited 45 minutes and no call. We watched others check in and get their car before us. We asked the Avis representative and they said we had three in front of us. We waited 30 minutes and went back up. They said maybe another 20 minutes. We went back up after 30 minutes and she said to go talk to the manager at Budget next door. We were one of the last people in the airport waiting in our car. Finally they gave us keys and told us to walk up the hill and get our own car. We pulled all of our luggage up the hill and the stairs and got our car. Worst pickup experience I have ever had. Never again.

Don’t rent from here. Had to wait 5 hours at the airport for car to be ready. Finally got one that was dirty and had engine warning lights on.

We waited 2 1/2 hours for a car. There were none. It was a fiasco at the airport. This rental was arranged long ago. The car was not cleaned well when we finally received it. We arrived in daylight and got the car at dusk and it was not easy to drive to our destination. A voucher for future use is respectfully requested. Was given an old car with multiple dents/scratchers and poorly performed body work. Had to come back 5 min later because rear tire was half way flat, which they inflated and it was ok. On day 3 out of 4 day rental during the trip to Walgreens the battery died. When I called for help at the provided number and gave my location I was told the help is coming in 30 min. When nobody showed up in 30 min and I called the same number I was given ridiculous excuses that they could not reach me since they didn't have my number. At this point its late at night, we left the cars with the keys in the parking lot and took taxi home. The next day when I called they said they got the car but so far refused to compensate me for one day missed rental. It will likely escalate to a credit card dispute. Will never rent from them again.

Landed in St Thomas and after waiting in line for Covid and getting luggage called Economy to learn that they had given away my car because I was past 60 minute reservation time. Poor experience.

We were surprised to see what they are renting out to people. There were scratches dents and scapes peeling paint and the rear view mirror fell off. When the rental agent handed us the keys she said be gentle with your opinion of our rentals. Was embarrassed to drive it - but later we saw many like cars on the island. We asked about an upgrade- one wiithout all the dents and scratches was $500 a day. The one we rented was $120 a day. Did anyone else have similar experience?
