Very Good|Feb 2023
The customet service aceptable but the violencia should come with liability insurance. Insted I was forced to buy a policy that dos not protect me at all. Very bad an unfair business policy.
Are we had a bad experience with Hertz Rent-A-Car in Lima Peru they did not want to refund the 2 days that we have turned the car in early. We had the car a total of 10 days . We had a family emergency so we had to leave. I will have to find a car rental company that can understand when a family emergency happens.
The car was an 100.000 km one and 8-10 years old. The price was the double of the one I contract. Really disaster
I like the fact I can pay when picking up, even at 2am. I didnt like that on return, the receiver was scrutinizing every single dent to make me pay an extra charge. A similar thing happened to me last year and I end paying 30 usd extra, because the car was not clean enough for them. With the high rental fees we are already paying this is really anoying and ridiculous. Plus, it made me lose time for checking in for my flight. Thanks
Everything was ok until the return of the vehicle : 1/ very hard to find the return area 2/ airport employees give wrong information about where to return the car 3/ gate was closed 4/ Hertz agent tells us to wait 30 minutes for the drop off because he is alone or to leave the keys in the car and leave 5/ we were informed that the car had to be washed or it would cost $15 And we were charged $20 I will not recommend Hertz to anyone.
The staff was friendly and courteous. The car performed well with no problems.
Pick up took an Hour! Although this was due to their not being able to process American Express that day - not really their fault - it was their banks's. At least the representative provided options. The car was advertised on kayak as a manual transmission but I received an automatic ... which was a little disappointing as a was looking forward to driving a stick shift ... but probably it was more practical in the end. If you are thinking of driving in Lima ... the guidebooks are Right! DON'T DO IT! Craziest drivers Ever!... at least get the insurance. Thankfully nothing happened to us.
The car was in almost perfect condition. With one small downside.
We've booked the cheapest car but for it you should leave 5000$ frozen if you're not 26. We did not find that info on the web site. So we end up on more expensive rental. The car that we rented was very sensitive to noise. If the noise was really loud the alarm enabled. Otherwise car was perfect.
