It was really good store manager change my drop off point so I didn’t have to go downtown and catch a cab to the airport with no extra charge he was really good pay for a tank of gas ahead of time but he knew it was only half full so he didn’t charge me for a whole tank trade me for a half a tank very accommodating

When this rental was booked I was supposed to be able to pick up the car at the Hertz rental at the airport. When I got there the agent at the rental dept told me that the rental had been booked at Hertz downtown C. Rapids and, "we're sorry but they're closed for the day." The only way I could get a rental was to do a whole NEW rental. The pre-paid rental money would be lost. I was stuck and had to get a new rental. The whole experience was terrible.

We had to take a 14 mile taxi ride from the airport to pick up the car at the Cedar Rapids location despite making the reservation using the CID airport code. A $45 cab ride one way. This was apparently a common deception according to the Hertz folks when reservations were made by Priceline. According to them the number of customers this happened to was in the triple digits. Beware. There was probably some fine print that over a hundred former Kayak/Priceline customers missed. This was a deliberate deception. Hertz did a solid recovery job for us but still.....

This neighborhood rental was just as good as renting from an airport location. I was delayed in arriving in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I called ahead to let them know that I may not get there until after they close and they told me to call when I got in town indicating they were prepared to accommodate me even if it meant staying a little longer that day. The value was very good.
I asked for a rental car at an airport but when we arrived, we found the car was at a location nowhere near the airport. Why should that happen?

Friendliness of the staff. Loved the car
Car had a couple of large stains on carpet. It is a shame people don't take care of vehicles even if they don't belong to them. I treat a rental just like my own
The pickup was terrible. There was only one car in the lot—a convertible—and it had not been cleared of snow or warmed up at all. I was clearly the only customer for the day, it was a car unsuited for the weather, and yet no effort was made to make the situation more customer friendly. There wasn’t even an ice scraper—I had to “borrow” one from family who were dropping me off and frankly, were concerned for my safety.

Slow on filling out contract, car had scratches which I had to get to be noted. Car NOT filled with gas. At check in, car was not in my name, contract done wrong, these are concerns that need attention. Also notice very high mileage on the last 2 cars rented

Miscommunication, reserved a car in town and it was closed by the time we arrived at 4:00 PM. Had to UBER to and from the airport cost $60.00 total. Had to rent a car from the airport which was $350.00 more than what was reserved. Very disappointing that when making the reservation no one told us about them closing at 4:00 PM the same time our flight landed

The whole process was easy. Wish I’d gotten a vehicle like the one selected though. I selected a Ford Edge and they gave me a Mitsubishi instead. Ver disapp in that brand.

We were taking a car one way, plans changed and I was told that if we returned the car to it pick-up location that it would be cheaper. Nope, still over $800.00....never use avis again.

Before hitting Rockford/Chicago, I was on backroads that didn't go more than 55 mph. Once I hit the freeway, the car I was in would not accelerate properly and soon wouldn't go beyond 35 mph. I only had the car for 3 hours (to drive to O'Hare) and it was terrible and expensive experience.
