We were in an emergency and needed to rent a car while in Walla Walla. We called Enterprise and were told that no cars were available to rent in a 60-mile radius. We continued our search, and that's how I connected with KAYAK. We found a car within walking distance from our hotel. They didn't open until 9:00 am, but I arrived a little early. Gia Sorn welcomed me into the office even though they weren't even open. She was about to call me and let me know she would not have any full-sized cars available until three in the afternoon. I asked Gia if she had anything, and she offered to be a sub-compact (Chevy Spark) which I took immediately. The car had been turned in late the day before and hadn't been cleaned up yet. The staff got right on it, and I received the car within minutes. Gia was excellent in all aspects of her customer service. When I turned the car in Spokane, a very tall man with dark hair helped us. When I was in Spokane earlier in the week, we had to wait for family to arrive, so we waited for them by the car rental area. I listened to this man interact with several customers and was utterly impressed with how he did so. His politeness, knowledge, and gratitude he showed customers for doing business with Enterprise was terrific. We experienced the same treatment with him when we turned the car in. I owned a service company for 30 years, had over 500 employees, and serviced markets in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. I demand top-notch customer service from my employees, so I know good service when I see it. Gia and this man were simply outstanding. If I were to start a service business now, I would hunt those two down and do everything I could to make them my first two hires.
