Cheap Car Rentals in East Memphis, Memphis

The website advertised that I did not need a credit card to rent this vehicle. However, when I arrived to get the vehicle the associate still requested a credit card. I was not able to get my vehicle at all.

The first car I received was dead. I’m not sure if they are actually inspecting the vehicles. The second car was better but the customer service is lacking at this location. Entire booth smelled like cigs.

Reservation was at noon on a Saturday. Office closed at noon on Saturday so I couldn’t pickup the vehicle

I think the car could have been checked out better before I got it. I had to put a quart of oil in the car before I could leave to go on my trip.

Once I arrived home from picking up the rented vehicle, my wife and I started checking the car, cleaning, checking tire pressure. The back passenger tire had a screw in it and the tire pressure was low. My wife and I went to Discount Tire, had the tire repaired so our vacation should be with out tire issues. Had zero issues with the tires/vehicle while on vacation. Upon return, I mentioned the repair of the tire to fellow at enterprise and he helped me out with the rental price because of the tire. All in all, had a great experience.

They tried to charge me 3 x the amount that I was quoted for, for 1 day. Won’t use again.

They were very very busy only one person working I went to the booth and checked out and it was over 30 minutes before I received the car so when I returned it I was charged an extra day because I did not receive the grace period

Arrived at counter and they had no record of my reservation. Staff rude and not helpful. There were no other cars available to rent! So my husband and I were stranded in Memphis and Oxford for 4 days with no choice but to Uber

The in person service was great, but the phone service trying to get the car was awful. Ended up having to spend an additional day in town because of it. The place I was the originally pick up the car was CLOSED. Always closed on Sundays! When I called I was sent to a second location, and they were out of cars! Said that all the places in the area (at 11am) were out of cars. Even though I had reserved one. Finally got a car the next day from a very nice woman at the original location I was supposed to pick up from. Car was fine, but very dirty and trashed on the inside. Wouldn’t book again.

I never got the car, because when I arrived in Memphis I was informed they were sold out. ridiculous.

There was no agent at the offiice! I called the Avis 800 number 6 times and was on hold for 1.5 hours total. They repeatedly lied to me. I never got a car! I was furious
