Cheap Car Rentals in Waltham Forest, London from ₹ 1,371/day

We were warned that this company is notorious for nickle-and-diming you for minor scratches and damage to the vehicle. Thankfully we had on issues and were diligent with our pre and post rental inspections; however, I think it makes sense to warn potential renters. Additionally, note that their location is not -- in fact -- at the airport. Instead, you have to PURCHASE shuttle tickets between the nearby Novotel Hotel and the Airport, which adds time and cost to those flying in and out of Stansted Airport. Other than that, they allowed us to return the car on Saturday (some rental car businesses don't have weekend hours in this area), and everything went great. Budget rental, friendly staff. I would probably use them again?

Rental pick up is at Novotel about 15 min bus ride from Stanstead terminal. Bus pick up point is difficult to find, no signs or directions and is not with main car rental locations. Bus runs about every half hour, so could take 45 min or so to get to Greenmotion rental office which is a small trailer, staffed by indifferent people a short walk from the hotel. Took a long time to complete all their paper work, even though I had pre-paid on line. Agents try to sell you all kinds of add-ons. Car was nice, clean etc.

I am unclear about Green Motions extended hire policy. I asked about an extension a while ago and the price was in line with the weekly rate I was already paying. I enquired about an extension this time and the rate seemed to revert to the day rate i.e. two and half times more. I would like to know what the policy is to inform future trips.

Did not realise that booking through Kayak meant no insurance whatsoever. This doubled the cost! No contact from Hertz prior to pick up. Sketchy information about what was covered. Nil paperwork bar a receipt.

This was the nightmare experience I have heard about but always thought was exaggerated. On the third day of our rental, the clutch went out on our car. They charged me $3000 and left me on the side of the road for 5 hours. No replacement rental.

Good price!

Absolutely terrible customer experience. We called and informed the company that due to our flights we were delayed. We asked if we needed to do anything else to confirm the rental, including paying in advance. They said no just come when you can. Upon arrival at the airport, we called to confirm how to get to their rental location - they told us that because we were not there within 5 hours of the booking, it was cancelled. The only other option was a large van at an additional three times the original price we booked. The staff were rude, were not truthful with us over the phone about holding on to our rental, and were not helpful. I'm shocked and would not recommend this company.

Our flight was delayed coming into Stansted Airport. I called the rental car company and told them our flight was delayed and we were concerned because they would be closed by the time we got there. They told us not a problem and they would wait for us. When I landed and called them, no one picked up. They shouldn't have told us that they would wait if they couldn't. I will only use a big name car rental company from now on.

If there were worse categories i would have used them. The customer service was 0/100 stars, the worst i have ever experienced in my life. Upon renting the car we were suggested to pay for a full tank of gas. We told the employee that we were only driving to cambridge and would not be needing a full tank. He told us something along the lines (was difficult to understand 100%) that it would be the same price, so he suggested that, thats what we should do. He did NOT tell us that we wouldnt get money refunded for unspent gas!? We agreed to buy the tank and upon returning, a second employee told us we would not be getting money back for unused gas (completely new information). He told us that we could go down and fill up the tank, return it full and he would try and change the contract for a possible refund. Upon return suddenly he was not able to do anything at all to help us, except that we could write to customer service. We did upon returning home - and ofcourse, customer service will not take any responsibility for the words of the employees at stanstead. In the end, due to ridiculously poor service we ended up paying 58 GBP for about a a quarter of gas. Needless to say we were stunned by the service we recieved at Easirent.
