The manager gave us no choice but to rent a van a day earlier than I had reserved it for. She maintained that I had ordered an 8-seat vehicle when I had clearly reserved a nine-seat van. The "explanation" was that here was high demand-- but the company had a full week to make available the Mercedes Vito I had reserved. The "similar" vehicle given to us (read: forced upon us) was a Volkswagen Caravelle, a far inferior van with mini-USB ports, one coffee cup holder (in the front), a standard radio with no capability for pairing the handy (i,.e., no navigation system), and uncomfortable seats. A rear seatbelt was difficult to find and attach. Nonetheless, I ended up paying the same amount of money for the vehicle as I would have with the Mercedes. It was a really unfortunate situation since I was showing my nine-member family parts of Germany and Switzerland for the first time, no thanks to Enterprise, City "Center" (Prager Strasse). I believe I should receive half of the money back for the inconveniences, but it is highly doubtful that will happen or that this review will even be made available.
