Cheap Car Rentals in Kenai

Some time after exiting the rental facility the check engine light for oil service needed came on which was frustrating given the amount of mileage we anticipated driving. The comfort of a Toyota 4Runner is average at best. The seats are very rigid and overall comfort significantly decreases the perceived value of renting it.

It was a complete disaster and the manager refused to chat with me.

I arrived Saturday around noon and there was only one person in line in front of me. I had a very friendly person at the counter. He did tell me they do not accept the 3rd party insurance I had purchased through Allianz but they took the name of my regular car insurance to use instead. This was fine for me but could be a problem for someone who doesn’t have car insurance back home. When I went to get my car instead of being a small Chevy spark hatchback I had reserved it was a ginormous SUV. I went back to the desk and they weren’t able to give me a small economy but they gave me a brand new 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I was in Alaska for the weekend but had rented a compact since it was what I could afford. It was great to have the RAV4. Upon return check out took about 1 minute and was easy. Overall, I had a decent experience and lucked out on the economy cars being overbooked :)

Pick up counter service was terrible!!!!! One person on the desk took 1 1/2 hrs. to get car and I was 5th person in line with another 10-15 people in line behind me!!! Car was good all other services where acceptable.

The wipers where awful and it rained a lot in Alaska would be nice if those would be checked thanks

Didn’t get what we ordered. Waited two hours to change to something we didn’t ordered. When drop off the cat the rental record were totally wrong with other renters name and credit card. Took a long time to fix that and still got charged more than what we agreed to at the end. Need to talk to someone when get back home to take care of this.

Everything great except that the type of vehicle we reserved (full size car) was not available when we arrived so a different vehicle (a small SUV) was substituted.

Price!!!!!

The car was filthy, windshield wipers were completely shot, and the tires were so warn & tattered, it sounded as if they were going to blow at any moment. The car itself had TERRIBLE gas mileage. For a two wheel front drive Kia “SUV”, it was worse than my personal Toyota 4Runner for how many times I had to fill it up.
