Find Van Rentals in Nice

When we went to pick up our car at the airport it was not there and somehow the reservation got screwed up and we had to Uber to the center of nice to pick it up. Then they told us they didn’t have our car and had to upgrade us but rather than accommodate the upgrade at no charge it cost us an additional $400. Returning the car to Naples airport was a bit confusing to find the return area and we were waiting at a gate for 10 minutes because no one gave us the code to drive it into the drop off

Our car was great and dropping off was great. The real issue was in picking up the car. We came from Nice, not from the airport which was the first challenging part. There was not an address on our rental confirmation so we just used google to look up Sixt rental. Google took us to a place inside the airport. We waited there for over 30 minutes and then the worker told us that we had to go to a different place, but didn't really clearly explain where. When we did find the rental place it was very obvious and I think would be really easy to find if you were landing there in the airport, but very frustrating experience.

Getting car rented was the biggest hassle as it took a long time for each transaction. They needed more agents. Car was an exceptional value, and burned so little fuel I was shocked!!

Usual salesman type trying to up sell at the pick up desk, became rude when we had our own excess cover! The car itself was filthy and battered. Highly advise taking a video of your car at pick up to avoid further charges!

Price not accurate on booking confirmation. I ended up paying almost £800 from a €290 booking

This is the 3rd time renting with Europe car. Wanting reasonable insurance and having to pay 42 euros per day was insane cost. Our credit card covered collision so comprehensive insurance shouldn't ever cost that much. Trains and busses are better options.
