Find Van Rentals in Athens

Pleased with Avance car rental experience. Pick up and drop off at Athens airport was straightforward. We received a low mileage Renault Cleo which performed well. Big enough to haul 3 adults and carry ons, yet small enough to navigate the roads and parking in Greece. Prices this year in Greece seem high everywhere, yet felt we received fair value from the pricing we received from Kayak/Avance. Would use them again.

I reserved an VW EOS, or "equivalent" - they told me to take a Mini Cooper. We're a family of 4, with 4 suitcases. Obviously, this wasn't going to happen. No more AVIS for us!

Green motion is not in the airport, the have a shuttle but information desk don’t have any information about that company. When finally he came for us the guy say the office is close and he have to stay behind to give the car away, one he learn that will be returning the car really early in the morning outside of business hours and he will have to come early too, he start mentioning that I need a UE driving permit to pick up the car and refuse to give me the car without it. The UE permit is real but the rental car company do net need it to rent the car technically a cop could pull you over and ask for it but in my opinion no cop will pull you over. I saw a car run a red light on a pedestrian cross almost hit a pedestrian with 2 motorcycle cop next to the scene and they did not react to it.

Took over two hours to collect the car - car was fine but they have some procedures which are unnecessary such as needing to send back their own confirmation email before they will release your car. Be prepared to wait a long time and face some challenges

We selected a pick up and drop off point in the centre of Athens. Our confirmation said it was Athens airport and that we couldn’t change the location. We couldn’t get to Athens airport to pick up the car.
