They were out of cars. I had to get one from Avis and pay 3 times as much at last minute.

In person customer service was great. Trying to reach someone beforehand though was difficult and not helpful. Dropoff was a bit confusing, no signs or live people to tell you what to do. You just pull in and walk away, easy but not like any other return I've ever had

Made reservation at the Madison, WI Odana beach to get there and for them to rudely tell me there was no vehicle so I was stranded. They proceeded to tell me this happens all the time and there was nothing they could do.

The exterior of the car was extremely dirty and the service light was on. There was a strong smell in the first couple of days. Possibly cigarette smoke.

Not sure, I dropped the car off yesterday in San Antonio at the NE loop 410 location around 12:30 the hertz associate said she would email me the receipt and I haven’t received anything yet.

The pick-up location call to say they would be closed that day. So I had to go to a different location but they didn’t inform me they didn’t open one hour later then the original location. Had to sit around for an hour and got charged extra for airport avis fees. The car had a used glass pipe in the center console and the car smelled like smoke. So no one checked the car before it was given to me. I was already running late from the delay so didn’t have time to change cars.

Just because Kayak accepts your credit card does not mean Avis will. Always have a back up credit card just in case.

Pickup and drop-off were quick and simple. The car I received was in great condition and perfect for what I needed (2022 Toyota Corolla, which got excellent gas mileage for a long drive).
