I dropped off my rental car at the Avis Gdansk Scandic Hotel location which was different than the pick up location. I was instructed to park the car in their garage and drop off the keys in the front desk. At check out I requested that someone inspect the car and give me a receipt for my rental. The lady that worked there said that was not necessary. I still insisted that the car be checked because I wanted a receipt. The employee then sneered at me and got irritated because she had to be inconvenienced to get up from her desk and walk outside to check on the car. I'd like to add that at the time this office was completely quiet and I was the only customer there for the two employees who were sitting and browsing the internet. After she checked on the car, she told me that the car had a scratch on the front bumper and I would be charged a damage fee. Of course there was no scratch so I went back to the car, rubbed off the dirt that she had insisted was the scratch, took pictures and presented her with the evidence. By then an hour had passed and I was late for my hotel checkout. This was a very irritating experience as the employee was very rude and incompetent in her job duties. I wish this place would hire people that actually knew something about cars, not an arrogant and snooty diva.
