I'm split on this. I rented from the LA Isla location. It was a nightmare. Do not rent from them. I showed up with a reservation for a minivan that I booked two months ago. I expected some tricks due to the reviews. First he told me that they only had their three smallest, cheapest cars available. I told him absolutely not I have three kids in car seats we can't fit in a spark. He tries to sell me on a five seat suv (all for the same price I paid for the van) that he said he might be able to get, but I said no. Then what do you know, he miraculously finds the last minivan they have. Second, he tells me it'll be there in an hour. The cars are kept at the airport and driven over. I come back in an hour. No van. He says they've hit traffic. I check Google maps, no traffic, says it takes 19 minutes. He says come back in 30 minutes. I come back 45 mins later, no car. Says they're still in traffic. Need 30 more. 30 minutes later, no car. I'm wondering if they even have it at this point. After a three hour wait a real minivan is there. Third, the car was not great. Scratches, bubbling paint, dents, etc. I made sure they documented them. The sliding door alarm was faulty and beeped nonstop for six days. The worst part though was the battery died on day 2. I called the two emergency numbers they gave me. Neither one answered. One called back but had no clue what I was talking about. He said he wasn't a mechanic, doesn't work with rental cars, total wrong number. So I walked around asking strangers for help jumping the car and lucked out. I returned the car to the airport location. They were great. Friendly. Efficient. Sympathetic. Professional. I'd recommend renting from them and avoiding LA Isla at all costs.
