Cheap Car Rentals in Alamogordo White Sands Airport

Vehicle was given to me with a half tank, not a full tank. I left it in the same or similar level.

CAR PERFECT, CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT. CAR RAN GREAT AND SERVED OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY.

I am giving them a negative rating for the primary reason they did not cancel a scheduled pick up as they stated they have to me while being in the store. It's caused me numerous inconveniences. Post 1 month, I have yet to get a cancelation email or refund despite having called hertz a few times. Furthermore when I went to the office no one was inside. At the door was a number to call when they aren't in the office. I called the number and the office phone was ringing. I had to exit the hotel, go to the parking lot to find them and advice them they have customers waiting. Outside of that, staff were straightforward, and offered the services appropriately.

Were NOT helpful at all

Beware of pickup location when making reservation via kayak. I thought that I had rented from airport location , but found out when went to the airport booth that I had not. It was from a city location. And they didn’t have extra cars at the airport to accommodate the reservation. So I had to Uber to that city location 15 minutes away.

The car smelled like a previous renter had smoked in the car, also the brakes had a loud squeak/grind sound when applied. Otherwise a good car.

KAYAK allowed us to schedule a pickup at a time that the facility was closed! This resulted in great anxiety and interfered with out vacation. Why use this company, especially as it is just a front for another company.
