There was no-one at the reception desk when I arrived at my pick-up time and I had to wait about half an hour. Eventually I asked one of the other rental company guys where the Europcar agent was and I was told - at lunch! I eventually had this other agent go and find the Europcar agent for me.
Hertz are trying to charge me €500 for insurance I declined. Wrong information was given at collection. The issue was not resolved on drop off, Hertz haven’t responded to my complaint and have taken the money from my account. I’m furious!!
Very expensive for a little car. $110 for a day is steep!
We had 12:OO noon reservation and arrived before 11:00 AM. Hertz office not opened until around 3:00 p.m. We were told by very unpleasant Hertz representative (that we contacted by phone) that "we should have called the regional office'" before 12:00 noon. Somehow we were supposed to know that the office would not open on time and that we would know who to call. The representative was rude, totally unhelpful and blamed Hertz ineptness on the customer. Also. we received the wrong size car. Another customer who also had reservations was informed that no car was available. We expected a lot more from Hertz!
