Alamo did not honor the vehicle level i had reserved. I reserved a Kia Rio or equivalent and when i got there i was offered a Kia Picanto an told me that they were the same level. Defínete Kia Picanto is a smaller vehicle. They told me that if i wanted a Kia Rio i had to pay an upgrade. My reservation clearly said Kia Rio and i show my reservation. I didn’t pick up my vehicle and had to rent a vehicle with another agency. It was a very bad experience and had to spend more than what i had planned. I saw other custommers having the same issues, not a good practice.

I was suppose to pay $65 at counter at pickup. They had no record of the 77 dollars I already paid with you! And told me that KAYAK was a scam and I shouldn’t have bought insurance at time of booking with kayak. I ended up paying 295 dollars for rental w their insurance when initial agreement was 165 for rental an insurance when I booked with You Kayak. Also they held 450 of my money. The car they brought me was beat up and not even road worthy. Had to wait for another car. Then spent the majority of my vacation trying to get a hold of KSYAK CUDTOMER SERVICE TO FINF OUT DHI TOOK MY 77 dollars. Still do not no where this money went. Fast forward when time to drop off no one was there to receive car at 530am as agreed and had to leave key under the mat . Very very very bad experience with budget and KAYAK

They didn’t have the vehicle I requested available. So I was given a microbus. However that required a special insurance, I was charged $90 extra. This is on top of an insurance we had already purchased, but no problem extra insurance wouldn’t hurt. They also put a $900 hold on the account, that they would return 7-10 days after drop off. That was all the money we had for this trip. I was never told about this $900 hold or we would have gone a different route as far as renting a car.

I booked the van 3 months before my vacation. They told me that the van was not available and that there was nothing they could do. I did my check in a day before to confirm. Had confirmation number and everything. I also called a week before but no one picked up. Horrible experience. Will never book again

In spite of several reminder email and text messages from AVIS during the weeks before the trip, when I arrived in El Salvador, AVIS had no cars whatsoever. I was stuck renting from another agency at almost twice the price. AVIS has no on-site or off-airport storage lot, and it's difficult to drop off the car at the end of the rental. I will never use AVIS again in El Salvador...and maybe never at all. How dissappointing!

We had reserved one kind of car for a lower price but when we got there they said that they had to give it to another customer, so the only thing that they had for us similar to the one that we needed was for a higher price ( doble to be exact).

The pick up counter was not open by the time we arrived. Now it states it opens and 6 and we did not see anybody till 640 am. The other thing is that when I booked I bought the coverage insurance but when at the counter they did not accept this and we needed to get a salvadorean insurance. It. Cost 250 dollars more for this. So the price seen is not the actual price.
